We have had an amazing advancement in raids for the past 2-3 weeks, and Kael'thas is one of the hardest bosses in all raids known to wow, so I have taken it upon myself to type up a summary of Kael. (All information taken from How to Guide: Kael' Thas from Youtube) that way if you are reviewing him, you do not have to listen to the aweful music, nor sit through 10 min of video. And also, i'm bored in class.

Phase 1
We fight the 4 advisers that escort Kael, one at a time (in this order)
1. Thaladred the Darkener: He sets his gaze on someone and will move towards them, aggro cannot be pulled or changed unless he sets his gaze on someone else. It is important that everyone (including melee ppl) stay away from him incase he sets his gaze on them. There is no time limit so it isn't important to burn him down quickly.

2. Lord Sanguinar: He has an aoe fear and hits fairly hard. Priests should keep a fear ward on the tank. In the video they tanked him on the far right wall, not sure if it is significant.

3. Grand Astromancer Capernian: A warlock needs to put on his big boy pants and tank this chick. She likes to cast fireball that does 5-7k damage typically. She can cast conflagration when anyone or pet is within 30yds from her. It does about 1k damage per second and disorients the person. The lock must stay out of range. She also casts arcane explosion when someone is in melee range which knocks the players back and deals them around 4k damage.

4. Master Engineer Telonicus: He'll throw a bomb at main aggro which does 7-8k splash damage. (So melee might want to be on the other side of the tank) He will also send remote control toys after ppl. These stun the person and lasts for 60 seconds. On our first attempt he sent one on me and I wasnt able to see the toy (probably b/c of all the chaos going on) , and I found that when I ran around and the stun could be easily avoided.
If the tank gets the toy on him, all dps MUST stop.

Phase 2

7 Weapons appear and tanked in someway. Phase lasts around 2min

The weapons are (does not have to be killed in this order):
Staff of Disintegration: Casts frost bolts and frost novas that can be interrupted. Hits weak

Cosmic Infuser (mace): Hits weak on plate and casts heals that must be interrupted

Warp Slicer (sword): hits 3k on plate, stacks rend. 500 per stack every 3 sec.

Devastation (2 hand axe): hits 3-4k, and whirlwinds for 5k (all on plate)

Phaseshift Bulwardk (shield): has a shield spike that hits you for 8oo when you hit it.

Infinity daggers: both hit 3k, and fairly fast

Netherstrand long bow: Hunter is the recommended tank. Should be tanked facing away from raid b/c of the multishots.

On the video they did it by focusing on the staft, after staff melee goes to mace, range goes to bow. Then everyone aoe.

I am ending this now b/c my class got out, I will finish later, I recommend that all comments, concerns, and questions should be said now b4 the raid
that way there will be less time spent standing and more time on experiencing the fight.

K, here is the rest of the fight...

After the weapons are killed, they must be picked up (soon b/c of despawns).
(I am not going to post what the weapons do, but I do recommend that you look them)


Phase 3, The advisers return:
(3 min)
There is no change in the advisers. They just get smarter and decide to fight at the same time.


Notes:
The dagger buff needs to be kept on thaladred, (recommened by main tank so he can pick up Kael when he comes out)

Bow buff should be on what ever the melee is on (pobably engineer or sanguinar)



Phase 4: Kael
This phase ends when Kael gets to 50%, Kael is not Tauntable, Hopefully most of the advisers are killed by this phase.

Kael casts fireball (2.5 sec cast) MUST BE INTURRUPTED. It deals 8k damage to eveyone even w/ the mace buff.

Mind Control every 30 sec on 2 ppl in raid. (use daggers to free them)

Shock barrier every min (very powerful bubble that that absorbs 100k damage and immune to kicks)

Pyroblast: Chain casted on main tank, 22k damage w/ mace buff

Flamestrike: large circle turning thing? will get cast on a player. Everyone near or on needs to run out (unless you have 50k-100k health to spare) Do not touch the ground where a flamestrike hits b/c it has a consecration effect after its cast for 2k per tick

Phoenix Rebirth, when the phoenix gets killed it lays an egg which must be destroyed before it hatches or else you have to go through the phoenix again.

Arcane Disruption: Hits everyone for 2k and disorients them (use staff to get rid of the disorienting effect)

At 50% everyone needs to finish off the left over eggs, and Kael goes up into the air and gets a lot bigger

Phase 5
(last phase !!)

Pyroblast and Mind Control get replaced by Gravity lapse and Nether beam.

Gravity Lapse: Every min he throws everyone into the air. You must "swim" lower (but not too low or else he throws everyone back up into the air and more fall damage is suffered)

Nether beam: He casts this during Gravity Lapses, all it is, is a chain lightning that deals 2k damage.

If you are near Kael during the Gravity Lapse, then you will get a debuff called "Nether Vapor" this lowers your hitpoints by 10% and deals 900 shadow damage per tick and can stack up to 9 times (OMG)

Mages should CS Kael when everyone drops so ppl won't get debuff (not sure if I read that correctly)

...oh and we still need to fight phoenixes during this. DO NOT GET A PHOENIX NEAR 30% a little before or during a gravity lapse or else it will lay an egg and we might not be able to kill it.

And that is the fight.....
