2.3 ARRIVES!!! BIg raid changes for the DoG's!!!

Greetings DoG'lings!! With the arrival of the 2.3 patch this tuesday (november 13'th) there will be alot of raid changes for us DoG'lings, mostly for the good I hope!!

-Raid TIME changes-

From now on we will be moving our karazhan raid days to friday and saturday. THis is due to the fact that its a long raid, and hopefully that will allow those that need to get in on some groups and havent been able to at least a chance to get in on one of those days at some point.

I do not know a set time for this yet for start-time....but as of RIGHT NOW....i think it will be in the 8pm server time start range unless we have enough guys to start it earlier, in which case we will indeed start earlier.

Since Zul'Aman resets twice a week...we will (as of now until i get more feedback from you guys) plan on starting ZA tuesday evening at our current "later" raid time of 10-11 server time start.

We will also be running a 2nd section of ZA that we will start SUNDAY evening...at (most likely) 8 server time.

I am sending out a mass mailer to all the lvl'70's about these time changes..and please let me know how this effects you guys, and if these times are good or if they are not good for you.

-Zul Aman-

Firstly, there is a new 10 man instance, Zul'Aman, being released for those of us that are all "epic''d out on kara gear and don't have anyplace to run now, for those of us that are at this level, this will be our new "karazhan" so to speak. We will be raiding ZA 2 or more nights a week, it resets TWICE a week...unlike karazhan that only resets on tuesdays.

This allows us to both have 2 seperate times to start each reset since some just can't play as early/late as others, and it also allows us to farm boss' twice as much for certain drops.

This is however a VERY gear intensive raid....so if you still have lots of blues..and have many kara drops still to farm..this is NOT the raid for you..yet. This is to 10-man raids what SSC/EYE are to 25 mans, so if you don't have the gear to sit in on a SSC/EYE group...then you don't have the gear for here, and you need to either get more from kara/badges/reputation/heroics ect.

-Heroic Badges-

There are as most of you know MANY new heroic badge items available from the vendors. These are HIGH quality items on par with t4 or higher in most cases, so these are an excellent way to start aiming for getting new gear and completing your sets for those of you that are interested in running ZA but won't have the gear to do so when it is realeased.

I ENCOURAGE you guys to run as many heroics as you can, i love them, and i try to whenever i can. It's an excellent way to gear up..and it allows you to pull your own weight more easily in raids as opposed to simply "leeching" off of those who are better geared and everyone fighting over the same raid drops, which slows down raid/gear progression as a guild

The 8 pm thing isnt going to work out for me so well as I am noramlly in PT training around then. Im usually back on by 9 or 9:30..so any raiding around then is perfect for me

Can we start an actual sign up roster as before matty? Im prolly hitting 70 this week and with the reduction in rep for keys will be hitting heroics hard next week. I by no means want to hold folks up who are geared and ready to go but what is the likelihood of getting into either instance say 2-3 weeks down the road, or will the slots be so hard to come by i should plan on looking for PUG's?

yes, yes, if jadano MUST attend his dancing class, then, i can go at a later time :P

sundays/fridays may or may not suit me too well, b/c i sometimes travel to and fro house to college off and on at the end of these given days. but! xmas break is coming soon, and we all know what that means...

Im ok at having one of the times later...but if we got 3 day resets...we're not going to have all of the runs that im going in at least starting late'ish. We got a few guys that are geared for ZA, and have been for awhile..and can't stay up to midnight and beyond each night like Ug, and visa.

Yea i'd like for all of us to go all the time, but its not gonna happen, so i think its fair to have an earlier time at least once in the week for those that schedules prohibit them from staying up so late on a weeknight to have an opportunity to do this raid.

hell yea man, that's cause i'm the dance master! i was just subbin' for your teacher that day.

and btw i'm totally down for starting early during the week. perhaps on the days of the week that we do not attend za, maybe i can gather up a secondary kara group. kara doesn't even have to be completed, just wanna help out those interested in raiding, but can't get a spot.

I'd like that Yon as soon as i get my gear a little bit better so I can start running kara.
